In 1998 Visbeen established a partnership with Norfolkline and Post-Kogeko so that together they could fulfil the increasing demand for quality, speed and service. The commercial activities related to transporting fruit and vegetables to England and Ireland were brought together in DailyFresh Logistics. Before then both Visbeen and Post-Kogeko each had their own clients in the United Kingdom and sometimes both Visbeen and Post-Kogeko were driving with partial loads to the same destination at the same time. DailyFresh Logistics was established to avoid this fragmentation and to create more efficient transport flows. With its ferry services to and from England, Norfolkline is a key strategic partner. By combining strengths in this way, DailyFresh is able to provide very high service levels.
In 2006 this successful business spread its wings out over Europe. The initial investment in this venture was the DailyFresh cross-docking centre in Dunkirk, which opened in 2006 and which was designed to cater for the flow of fruit and vegetables from Spain and France. In 2009 DailyFresh has taken over de commercial activities of Int-Veen, part of Visbeen Transportgroup. DailyFresh strengthens its position in Germany.
The partnership with DailyFresh Logistics concentrates on logistics services involving fruit and vegetables. Everyday DailyFresh offers a complete logistics concept for producers, exporters, wholesalers and retailers.
Coolboxx
Because of the ever increasing demand for transport and the increasing congestion on European roads, an alternative to road transport is essential. In 2004 this led to the COOLBOXX partnership between VISBEEN, Post-Kogeko and Samskip.
As logistics service provider, Coolboxx bundles two major advantages in one service: conditioned transport and an intermodal approach. Using 45 feet pallet-wide reefer containers, Coolboxx can offer maximum efficiency for transporting temperature sensitive produce.
In addition, Coolboxx combines multiple modes of transport: via road, via ship and via rail. This intermodal approach means we can provide the best possible service for our clients. In other words, we can offer transport solutions that hold the future!
